My recent stay at Motel Rideau was a mixed experience with some highlights worth mentioning. As a landscape photographer hailing from London, I value tranquility and breathtaking views, a sentiment I hoped to find in Montreal with my family. Despite the dated room and cramped space, the inclusive atmosphere and welcoming staff left a lasting positive impression.Traveling with my two children under 12, we appreciated the proximity to Parc Leon Gravel, offering a wonderful space for the kids to enjoy outdoor activities. We even rented bicycles from the hotel and explored the picturesque trails nearby - a delightful family adventure.The convenient amenities like the microwave and fridge were handy for our needs, and the free parking eased our stay. Although the motel may benefit from some upgrades, the friendly staff, strategic location, and family-friendly activities nearby make Motel Rideau a decent choice for a budget-conscious family stay in Montreal.
